Drag Queen Story Time aim to capture the imagination and fun of the gender fluidity of childhood, while giving children glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.

By providing spaces in which kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions, Drag Queen Story Time allows children to imagine the world in which people can present as they wish. Where dress up is real.

Drag Queen Story Time UK is based on the original Drag Queen Story Hour, created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco.

The UK Drag scene offers a unique array of live singing, comedy, dancing and much more. DQST seeks to bring that unique talent into educational environments, to celebrate the diversity that exists within the LGBTQI+ community, and introduce “difference” in a positive way. If you’re introduced to difference in a positive way, you will react to it in a positive way.
